30 hours of one-to-one manual or automatic driving tuition, subject to instructor availability and an agreed lesson plan.
Availability:In Stock
A 30-hour intensive driving course gives learners with some existing experience a structured way to develop their skills. Rather than starting every lesson without a plan, you and your instructor can identify priorities and build towards more independent driving. The right starting point depends on how confidently you already control the car and respond to traffic.
This package is intended for learners with some experience who need a structured programme to develop consistent driving. Nationwide Driving School offers manual and automatic tuition, subject to a suitable instructor being available. The price shown on this product is for the stated tuition package. The practical driving test fee is not included. You book and pay for your own test.
This course may suit someone who understands the basic controls but still needs practice with junctions, meeting traffic and planning ahead. Early sessions can reveal which skills are secure and which need more time. Previous lesson hours alone do not show whether a thirty-hour package is the right choice.
A shorter course may suit a learner who needs only targeted preparation. A beginner or someone returning after a long break may benefit from a longer programme. Discuss the options before choosing mainly on price.
Tuition is provided by a DVSA-approved ADI or DVSA-licensed PDI. Tell us which transmission you need before booking. If you have access requirements, feel particularly nervous or have previously struggled with lessons, explain this when enquiring so we can discuss a suitable approach.
This is a tuition package; it does not include a theory test, practical test fee or a reserved test appointment. Pupils arrange and pay for their own practical driving test through the official GOV.UK driving test booking service. Nationwide Driving School does not book the practical test for you. Check current DVSA fees and appointment availability directly rather than assuming a date will be available when your lessons end.
Speak to your instructor before choosing a test date, time and centre. Test-day instructor availability, use of the tuition car and any lesson time needed around the appointment must be agreed in advance. They are not automatically reserved by buying this course. Confirm how any agreed test-day time will be charged or allocated from your package before making arrangements.
There is no guaranteed pass or guaranteed completion date. Your instructor will discuss your progress honestly, and additional lessons may be needed if you are not yet driving safely and independently.
Intensive tuition means planning lessons more closely together where availability allows; it does not mean rushing through the syllabus. Before booking, discuss your postcode, preferred start date, work or college commitments and the lesson lengths you can manage comfortably. Agree the schedule with us rather than assuming the whole course can run in one week.
A useful programme includes time to reflect between sessions. Your instructor can explain the aim of each lesson, demonstrate where helpful and give you opportunities to practise with decreasing support. If concentration drops during longer sessions, discuss breaks and a more suitable lesson pattern. Consistency and thoughtful practice matter more than simply completing hours quickly.
Lessons in Burton upon Trent and surrounding areas are planned around suitable roads and your current ability. Practice can include moving away safely, emerging at junctions, negotiating roundabouts, meeting oncoming traffic, responding to signs and choosing an appropriate speed. As you progress, you can work on busier roads and unfamiliar situations without relying on memorising a fixed test route.
Parking exercises, independent driving and anticipation help bring these skills together. The aim is to understand why a decision is safe, recognise developing hazards and adapt when road conditions change. Lesson locations and collection arrangements depend on instructor coverage, so check your postcode before paying. See our areas covered and local driving lesson prices for the next step.
Use the time between sessions to revise signs and road rules in The Highway Code. Keep a brief note of feedback so you can ask questions at the next lesson. Understanding the reason behind an observation or positioning routine helps you apply it to a new road rather than repeat it mechanically.
If you still need a theory test, use the official theory test booking service and plan revision alongside practical tuition. Your theory arrangements are separate from this course. Private practice may help consolidate learning where it is lawful, appropriately insured and supervised, but it should support the approach agreed with your instructor.
Being ready involves more than reaching the end of your purchased hours. You should be able to make safe decisions, manage the vehicle and deal with normal road situations without repeated prompts. Where appropriate, a mock test can highlight weaknesses and give you experience of driving with less conversation and support.
The DVSA Ready to Pass guidance is a useful starting point for discussing readiness. Practise the official show me, tell me vehicle safety questions as well. Your instructor can help connect these topics with the car you use, while continuing to focus on safe driving throughout each lesson.
Yes, request your preferred transmission when enquiring or use the available product option. A suitable instructor and lesson schedule must be confirmed. Do not assume that switching transmission later will fit the original arrangements.
No. You book and pay for your own practical test separately. Agree test readiness, the instructor’s availability and use of the car before finalising your plans.
Your instructor will explain the areas needing work and discuss further tuition. Completing 30 hours does not automatically mean you should take the test. Allow flexibility in your budget and schedule rather than treating a test date as a deadline for learning.
If intensive tuition does not suit your timetable, compare regular lessons and block booking discounts on our pricing page. Beginners can also ask about current beginner offers; eligibility and local availability apply. Read pupil reviews to learn about other learners’ experiences, without assuming their results predict yours.
